Handbook:
Wolf is the first one, it is to be taken to every den meeting, you as a parent can sign off activities that your boy has accomplish at home or school, but it has to be done while he is a Wolf. Things done last summer do not count. It is helpful to the den leader who tracks the boy’s progress if you will mark the paw print in the back of the book and write a note that tells of the recent things that you sign off with your boy. Please bring Faith in God book.
Cub Scout Shirt:
A blue cub scout shirt is worn by the wolf & bear they can be sometimes found at the DI but you have to get lucky to find one there. They can be purchased at the Scout trading post in Ogden, (address 1200 E. 5400 So. Phone 801-476-1900) or any trading post that you know of. They can be found online. They can be borrowed from your committee chairman who presently has four shirts in circulation. The shirts if borrowed need to be returned so that we can keep track of where they are and who has them. The Webelos can were a blue Cub or tan Boy Scout shirt. The numbers 179 and Trapper trails patch go on the left shoulder of the uniform. These are purchased at the Scout Trading post. They should be worn to all den and pack meeting unless the activity is not appropriate. (something that would damage the shirt)
Knowledge:
To earn his Bobcat the first rank in Cub Scouting he needs to know the Salute, Sign , Handshake, Oath, Law, Motto, and go through the Youth Protection in the front of the Handbook with YOU !! This needs to be done before every rank advancement. This includes Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos. You will find that this will continue right on up to the Eagle in boy scouts.
